The Upper Cumberland Region is centrally located to Nashville, Knoxville and Chattanooga. Home to Tennessee Tech University, Cookeville serves as the hub for this rural and upcoming region.
Over the past few years, Cookeville has quickly grown. With a new interest in the state as a whole and with more growth and changes in the Greater Nashville area, this region has become a new and upcoming area in middle Tennessee.
Major highways, roadways, Interstate 40 and the Upper Cumberland Regional Airport connect the region to major cities in the state.
The greater Cookeville area offers truly the best of Tennessee’s rural glory. Creeks, rivers, and other waterways stretch throughout the region – stemming from Tennessee’s cleanest lakes: Center Hill Lake, Cordell Hull Lake and Dale Hollow Lake. Several waterfalls are common in this area making it a great place to live and explore.
In both 2018 and 2019, Cookeville was noted by the US Census as one of the top 10 fastest growing micropolitan areas in the US. With promising growth, this is a great place to call home.
