If you had to survive in the wild, could you make it? Register for our Ten Essentials to Survival program to learn how.
Join us on February 27th at 8am at the Edgar Evins State Park shelters to learn basic survival skills.
Who is the program for?
18+. This program will be for the very beginner to learn hands-on techniques for survival. We will be following the 10 essentials for survival.
What will you learn?
Navigation using a compass, environmental hazards, first aid and CPR, knife handling, fire making, shelter building, and other miscellaneous.
What’s included?
Backpack, compass, Firestarter, headlamp, knife, emergency shelter, water bottle, and skills to help you survive. Dutch oven chili and cobbler will be provided.
Need overnight accommodations?
We are offering a 25% discount on two-night cabin stays for those who register for the program. To reserve a cabin using the discount, please call the park. Reservations for cabins based on availability.
This event will be rain or shine.
