Intro to Astronomy at Window Cliffs

March 13 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Window Cliffs State Natural Area
8400 Old Cane Creek Rd,
Baxter, TN 38544

Window Cliffs is a 275-acre state natural area that opened for public access in April 2017 that is managed by Burgess Falls State Park.

This is a 5.3 mile heavily trafficked out and back trail that features a waterfall and very steep, very high bluffs. The trail is primarily used for hiking, nature trips, and bird watching and is accessible year-round. It’s easy to spend the day here!

Join us at the Window Cliffs State Natural Area parking lot for some night sky viewing and education! This will be an introduction program to discuss astronomy basics and how it has been used in the past. This is a new moon and should allow us to see much more than normal. This is a weather dependent program and leading up to it we will be monitoring this.
